A New Path Forward…

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Christian Harrison Withdraws from Salt Lake City Mayoral Race; Endorses David Garbett.

Christian Harrison, candidate for Salt Lake City mayor, is withdrawing from the mayor’s race to endorse David Garbett for Salt Lake City mayor. Harrison, the former chair of the Downtown Community Council and self-described social innovator is endorsing David Garbett to ensure a cleaner, brighter future for the city.

“Christian is an innovative thinker with a track record of working to make our city better,” Garbett states. “I am excited about having his support and working with him to address transit issues, housing affordability, and homelessness.”

“David Garbett has Salt Lake City’s best interests in mind,” states Harrison. “Transportation and affordable housing are two major concerns that David and I share. I know as mayor, David will address these issues decisively.”

During his campaign, Harrison emphasized the importance of mobility independence for every Salt Lake City resident. Like Harrison, Garbett believes that the city should be committed to prioritizing a transit system for all of its residents and neighborhoods.

Similar to Garbett, Harrison’s campaign also highlighted the city’s growing need for affordable housing and the lack of accommodation for the homeless.

“Christian is an innovative thinker with a track record of working to make our city better,” Garbett states. “I am excited about having his support and working with him to address transit issues, housing affordability, and homelessness.”
